Ho Ho Home for Christmas

Sunday afternoon I made it back home to Georgia for an extra long Christmas break after travelling through Salt Lake City and JFK in New York on stand by. It was so awesome to be able to get home amd see my whole family at the airport. Then going to cut down a Christmas tree and put it up before going to our churches Christmas program that night. When I left three hills Alberta it was -30 F so it was kinda nice to step ouside in Georgia even though i do miss the snow. Ill be home untill January 12th so if your around here lets get together and hang out and eat some pumpkin pie or go fishing or something.

GREAT NEWS!
The leadership team at Smyrna First Baptist Church has approved me as a recepient of a scholarship. What does that mean? Any donations can be given directly to my home chruch and they will put it all into a schlorship fund and send it directly to the school. So for yall, this means that I am a tax write off.
I really enjoy reading everyones comments and knowing that I got yalls support back home makes all the difference in the world. I would lying if I said this has been easy. Every new day brings so much challenge into my life I dont know what to make of it sometimes. I was reading in 1 Peter this morning and I was refreshed by knwoing I should " be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while."
Thanks again for everything, even when I get behind and dont write or update yall are still in my thoughts and I am so thankful for it.

I am going to Prairie Bible Institute in Alberta, Canada to become a missionary pilot.

3. How long are you going to be there?
It is actually a associates of arts degree in Misiionary Aviation so it is two years long. Check it out:

4. How are you gonna afford all this?
God only knows. Seriously, I dont know but I am sure that He will provde. I have been working full time and going to school for the last several years, saving all my money and know I see there is know way I can do it on my own. If you dont set your goals higher than what you can acheive by yourself, you dont leave any room for God to do something amazing. You can help.

5. Why did you shave your head, you have such beautiful dark hair?
-First of all I joined the army of God, lol. Who doesnt get pumped up by watching a war movie. I would love to have served in the army and give everything I've got for this country. How much greater is what we are fighting for. I dont have to regret missing out on something spectacular, I am excited that I am serving under the best, with the coolest mission you could ever imagine.
- And oh yeah its hot here and just out of convenience, I am not gonna have time to be shampooing and conditioning while Im in the bush. Dont worry its still under there.

Desiring God
This is a book by John Piper who has some incredible good news about joy purpose in life and how it glorifies God. I first heard this message at a college aged conference and it took and it changed my life. It took my me several re-reads and to understand everything but the message presented made me say that I believe this even though I dont quite understand it all the way yet. The chapters in the book are about different areas in life and is laid out so that you can read them out of order about whichever section interstes you that day.

Wild At Heart
This book by John Eldredge is awesome and should be read by every guy. Admit it most men in church are...bored. Come alive again and fight for the adventure that God intended for you. This is a much easier read then Desiring God so it will go by much faster. There is also a version called Captivating that is co-written by him and his wife and is focused on the womans heart. Guys I also highly recomend this, its incredible.
